U19’S Crowned Champions

Future Pro Academy in partnership with Racing Club Warwick was crowned Champions of Division G in the National League U19 Alliance on Monday 22nd June when the season was determined on points per game basis by the league. Racing Club Warwick maintained an unbeaten league campaign up until March when the season was halted due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

This season some of the performances on the pitch have been exceptional. The racers went unbeaten in the National League, played nine matches, won all nine and scored forty goals.

For the past three years at Future Pro Academy, the hard work that has been put in to get to this point and achieve this has been incredible. From the scholars to the staff involved, it has been an all-round effort. With it being the last year for most of the scholars in the team, they were even more determined to win the league and finish their journey on a high.

Future Pro Academy Director / Owner Demir Vavan & Lead coach Ex Sky Blues FA Cup Winner David Phillips:

Demir Vavan

“This season some of the performances on the pitch have been exceptional maintaining a winning form in all league games and going unbeaten in the National League with some very good established non-league clubs in the competition. Since working with the club, I am just chuffed for everyone involved to see the hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed and we are crowned champions. In an ideal situation, we would have wanted to complete all fixtures, however, in these unprecedented circumstances, I am just proud of everyone associated with the programme. We are looking forward to building more fantastic opportunities on and off the field for next season.”

“This year was a very enjoyable season culminating in winning our group in the National League. Going unbeaten against some excellent sides was a huge achievement for the players, who deserve so much credit. The match against Kidderminster Harriers was the high point for me, going down to 10 men for over an hour and then winning the game in the last 5 minutes. Great commitment and game management shown by the scholars. I really enjoyed working with the players, staff members along with the association from Racing Club Warwick. Overall this year at Future Pro has been very successful culminating with several players making their debuts for RCW. Rebuilding is near completion for this season and one I will look forward to again.”

Racing Club Warwick Chairman:

Gary Vella

“I am delighted with the success of the Future Pro Racing Club alliance. The past two years, the team has competed well, but this year the team was outstanding. Beating Kidderminster with ten men was a huge achievement and paved the way for the well-deserved success. Several lads signing first team forms, the future is very bright for the area.”
